So, the second Spider-Man trailer dropped about a two days ago and I think we’ve all had time to let it marinate in our systems. I’m sure we’ve all watched it about 100 times to the point where it’s memorized BUT, it has left quite a few of fans with some questions. Now don’t get me wrong, I loved the trailer and I’m MAD excited for this movie, but something here feels…off.
Here’s what I think…
It’s clear that Marvel is going BIG for what could potentially be the last time we see Tom Holland’s Spidey in the MCU. In the trailer we get a glimpse of the infamous Sinister Six, (YES, I said six, did you see that second Goblin in there *insert eyes emoji*) Spider-Man’s new suits, ANOTHER falling love interest (not this again…), and more. However, does it feel like it’s all a bit…much? So, get this, I understand that this is a “Sinister Six vs every Spider-Man we grew up on” film but in the trailer it seems like this film might be biting off more than it can chew, right? I mean, I can't be the only one who feels this way.
First off, our guy Pete accidentally brought the villains here by tampering with the spell, now he’s experiencing guilt and wants to…save…them?…*hpmh*, he’s beefing with Meph-…I mean Dr. Strange himself, OH and in case you forgot people still know that Peter Parker is Spider-Man. With all this in mind, I’m left wondering….do we actually know what’s going to happen in this film? Does it matter? Now, to be fair, whatever is put on the screen I’ll be in attendance, front and center, with my popcorn cause I’m a fan and that’s me and my business. I just want this movie to be really successful and not a let-down. This film has HIGH expectations (like Endgame level expectations) and it’s expected to really move the needle going forward for the MCU. I definitely could just be overreacting cause at the end of the day...it's just a trailer. But hey, what can I say, I love this stuff, ight!

So, I don’t know folks, will this be another case of too much movie within the movie? Or will we not care and just focus our attention on Tobey and Andrew when they arrive on screen? I guess we’ll find out…
….but that’s just what I think.
